Summer Vegetable (Ladies Finger, Brinjal, Chilly, Pointed Gourd, Ridge Gourd, Ash Gourd, Bottle Gourd, Bitter Gourd, Sweet Gourd, Beans) (Land Preparation/ Sowing): Land may be ploughed thoroughly (4 to 5 times) and kept exposed for few days in the sun. Apply FYM @ 5 to 6 tones and Lime @ 30 to 40kg per kani at the time of final ploughing. Seed must be treated before sowing with Captan @ 1gm per litter of water for 30 to 40 minutes. Potato (Late sown) (Harvesting): Light irrigation may be given to the field in previous evening to ease the harvesting process. Mustard (Late sown) (Flowering): In case of attack of Aphids Prophenofos @1.5ml or Cypermathrine 1ml per liter of water may be sprayed 3 times at 7days interval. Mango (Flowering): At flowering stage there may be attack of hopper in mango plant. These hoppers suck the juice of the plant particularly from the soft stem and flower and make the plant weak. Malathion @ 2ml per liter of water may be sprayed to manage the attack. In the same way there may also be attack of Mili bug and same dosage may be sprayed to control the attack. There may be attack of sucking insect in mango and litchi at its flowering stage. Rogor or Monocrotophos (20EC) @ 1.5 to 2ml per liter of water may be sprayed to manage the attack. Cattle (All stages): Due to scarcity of green forage farmers are advices to provide food grains then balanced nutrition to the livestock for ensuring higher productivity. Deworming should be done in calves with consultation with veterinary practitioner. Fish (All stages): Racking should be done in this method of hanging some weight in a rope and dragging it from one side of the water body to the other ensures agitation of the bottom muck. This releases the obnoxious gases, viz. ammonia, hydrogen sulphide and methane (CH4), in the form of bubbles upward. Poultry Birds (Bird Flu): Symptoms: Nasal Discharge, Eye & Head Swollen, of fed. Remedy: Separate the bird or in case of severity birds may be killed. Contact immediately with nearby Animal Dispensary immediately.
